BACKGROUND AND HISTORY

US Enclosure
World Trade Center Project
Located in 30 Park Place.  800 feet due East of the current 1 NYC World Trade Center
Constructed by Silverstein Properties, the same company which developed the current 1 World Trade Center

30 Park Place is a 82 Story, 937 feet high mixed use structure.  The US Enclosure units are utilized on the 38th-39th floor, in a vaulted ceiling Music Conservatory.  Below lies a Four Seasons Hotel and above are Condos which fill the balance of the building.   Like the building, our units are built and delivered to be mixed-use-- as both loudspeaker cabinets and as interior lighting cabinets.

Specifications:  48" high.  12" diameter at the top narrowing to 1" at the bottom tip.
Shape:              3D complex curve.

The US Enclosure prototype division was used for production as only 4 units were ordered.  Including software time to take a drawing to a file usable for a printed plug, the plug's printing run time, the mold cost created from the plug, the labor and materials to create the mold and the final units, each of the four units still cost less than 1000 dollars each ready to ship-- including a custom build 66 inch long, 33 inch wide and 40 inch high crate.

Originally contracted to be primary a loudspeaker cabinet, they are only currently used for lighting; nonetheless the cabinet loudspeaker function is incorporated and available for driver mounting to the cabinets shipped to the building.  Once we were informed of the use solely as lighting cabinets, we changed the wall material to suit this application for the client's ease.  The planned US Enclosure wall material of rubbery and stiff lends itself to professional finalized production runs; not prototypes used for final purposes.
